Si restituisce la storia dell'integrazione nel contemporaneo dell'antica Metaponto, riscoperta a seguito del ritrovamento delle note Tavole di Eraclea, e sistematicamente indagata da Debacq e Luynes prima e da Lacava, Debret e Millin poi, mediante scavi archeologici che permisero l'acquisizione di nuovi ed interessanti dati sull'architettura antica e sul colore, anche alla luce del rinvenimento delle sime leonine metapontine, straordinari testimoni di un glorioso passato. The books restores the history of the integration into the contemporary of ancient Metapontum, rediscovered following the discovery of the well-known Tables of Heraclea, and systematically investigated by Debacq and Luynes first and by Lacava, Debret and Millin later, through archaeological excavations that allowed the acquisition of new and interesting data on ancient architecture and color, also in the light of the discovery of the Metapontine lion sime, extraordinary witnesses of a glorious past.
